We carry standard black rubber mulch and a variety of colored options. The rubber mulch also goes through extensive processing to remove unwanted content from the recycled tires and is 99.9% wire-free mulch.

Installation of rubber mulch is pretty straight-forward. The process outlined below is for installing it on a playground, however, the same concepts are used when installing it on a landscape. Here is a quick overview of the installation process:

• Calculate the area surrounding the equipment, referred to as the fall zone. You can find detailed information on fall zones from the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s (CPSC) Public Playground Safety Handbook
• Prepare the ground ahead of time by clearing any rocks, stumps or other debris, and completely remove any old surfacing equipment.
• Install a border to contain the rubber mulch. This helps maximize its efficiency and defines the area as a play zone.
• Install a geo-textile fabric on top of the ground. This will create a barrier between the rubber mulch and earth below.
• Add the rubber mulch and spread evenly to the desired depth.
